Hail possible with line of severe storms moving towards San Antonio

A line of strong thunderstorms moving towards San Antonio Wednesday late afternoon.

The storms were strengthening in counties to the west around 1:25 p.m. and expected to move into the San Antonio area between 3 and 4 p.m. and last until around 8 p.m.

Hail and strong winds were considerations with the storms, but sudden heavy rainfall was the biggest factor, said KENS 5 Meteorologist Stacia Wilson.

At 1:30 p.m., the National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning as storms moved towards San Antonio.
